Program Title: Social Service Assistance - Out of Office Opportunities

Program Description: We serve our clients and the larger immigrant population directly through various public engagements outside of our offices. From health kit distributions to community tabling events to public transportation trainings, we offer plenty of opportunities to help support the assistance we provide within our own DMV-community!

Department/Individuals Assisting: Ayuda’s Social Services Team 

Jobs Offered: We typically need support with the following jobs/opportunities to support our social service team outside of the office

• Hygiene Kit Packaging & Distribution Events
• Community Tabling Events
• Public Transit Trainings

Opportunity Requirements:  

Required: 

• Excellent interpersonal skills 
• Strong cross-cultural communication abilities  
• Being a team player  
• Positivity and enthusiasm for our work 
• Vaccinated for COVID-19 

Preferred: 

• Fluency in English and Spanish 

Commitment:  

• Our social services out of office opportunities are not offered on a set schedule as we will recruit volunteers upon invitation to a community engagement or scheduling of a client training
• Opportunities will typically be one-day occurrences on weekdays and weekends for a total of 2 - 3 hours on average
